Uganda Beats South Africa to scoop COSAFA Title Cup

They went to the tournament as guests, but ended up showing a spirited performance that saw them emerge winners, and unbeaten through.

This is the spectacular performance of the Ugandan under 17 team during the just concluded COSAFA 2019.

The sharp shooters, won the tournament after beating South Africa in the finals 2-1 held in Port Louis. Zambia emerged third after walloping Botswana 3-0

Uganda, whose sharp shooter, Juliet Nalukenge emerged out with the golden boot after 18 scoring 18 goals, beat Mauritius 11-0, Comoros 20-0 and Botswana 12-0 to reach the finals against South Africa.

The under 17 Uganda’s goal keeper, Daphine Nyayenga was awarded the Golden Glove for best goal keeping, having conceded only two goals in the entire tournament.
