Speaker Kadaga Graces Missionary Sisters Of Mary Mother Fundraising

Lira, Uganda: Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga is in Lira to officiate at the fundraising ceremony of the Missionary sisters’ chapel.

The Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church, a religious Institute was founded in 1970 by the Rt. Rev. Caesar Asili (RIP).

The Headquarters of the Institute are located in Lira, Northern Uganda.

The Institute has since its foundation has grown and is now having 327 religious Sisters involved in Pastoral and Social activities, done through different ministries for the service of the people in different parts of the world.
Currently, some sisters are working in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, and Italy.

The Parliamentary men’s team warm up

The activities carried out by the sisters aim at improving the livelihood of the people hence the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother the Church focus on working with people in their communities.

As part of fundraising for the Missionary sisters’ chapel, Parliament’s football and Netball teams are playing with teams of priests in Lira & Missionary sisters respectively.
