Several people are feared dead and others injured following a head-on collision involving a bus and a truck.

The bus belonging to KKT Bus Company collided with a UPDF truck on the Kampala-Gulu highway at about 9 pm on Friday night near Diima trading center.

The bus was destined for Koboko from Kampala while the Jiefang UPDF truck was heading to Kampala from Lira town.

Maj. Ceasar Olweny, the Gulu-based 4th UPDF Division spokesperson, on Saturday, confirmed the incident, saying a team of UPDF soldiers has been dispatched to the scene to get more details.

Ibrahim Sekito, the West Nile Region UPDF spokesperson said they are have scanty details about the accident.
