World Food Day 2024: Food Scientists Make Urgent Call for Nutritional Awareness and Reform in Uganda

KAMPALA, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| M/s Dorothy Kisaka has today officially been unveiled as the new Executive Director for Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). She replaces the former Acting ED Eng. Andrew Kitaka who was fired by President Museveni.
The swearing-in ceremony at City Hall in Kampala was attended by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Kampala City Minister Betty Amongin among others. Kisaka who is also heading the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 funds comes in a year after another powerful lady Jenipher Musisi quit the KCCA top slot for a foreign job.
Kisaka, a professional lawyer who graduated from Makerere University in 1987, practiced law with Kiyimba-Kisaka & Company Advocates between 1999 and 2014. She also has two master’s degrees from Uganda Martyrs University and York St John University, UK.
Before her appointment, she was serving as a Senior Presidential Advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) where she was tasked with coordinating political and non-political actors to implement public policy.
Also sworn in were Grace Akullo as Director of Administration and Human Resource Management. Dr Daniel Okello Ayen was confirmed as director of public health and environment.
