His target is to graduate to the National Rally Championship (NRC) by the end of 2019. This is the dream that Rajiv Ruparelia, the new kid on the block in the adrenaline raising sport (Motorsport) has eyes set on. Rajiv who has won recently won the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) 2019 in Kayunga, finishing ahead of rally ace Ponsiano Lwakataka yesterday told SM News that he was ready to show more talent at the forthcoming Kabalega rally due in Hoima on October 17.

“Yes I am taking part in the Kabalega Rally,” he said. As per FMU regulations, an upcoming competitor is supposed to compete and finish at least a minimum of three Autocross events before being elevated to the NRC status.

Rajiv emerged second in his first race clocking 10.44 m at the Enduro Autocross Championship that was held at Zion Estates in Ssisa. He is expected to show case his new VW Polo that he purchased from Poland.

In his first race, Rajiv came second after clocking a time of 10:44 in the Enduro Autocross Championship 2019 at Zion Estates in Ssisa.

After winning the fourth round of the National Autocross Championship in Kapeeka, he was crowned the Club Man Rally Championship (CRC).

Autocross is used as training arena for upcoming drivers, ahead of their main entrance into the NRC.

Rajiv who received specialized training at the Rallystar Motorsport Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa, will be navigated by Ronnie Walia at the forthcoming Kabalega Rally.
