Kampala, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| Business Magnet, Dr Sudhir Ruparelia earlier on Tuesday presented his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [MOFA] as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Nepal to Uganda.
The city tycoon was accompanied by Nepalese Residents and Ambassador Jhabindra Aryal.
The ceremony that took place at the ministry headquarters was witnessed by Ambassador Jhabindra Aeyal Rajdoot, the Nepal ambassador.
After presenting his documents to Kutesa, Dr. Sudhir proceeded to Crane Chambers along Kampala road and opened Nepalese Consulate offices.
The opening ceremony was attended by H.E Aryal.
The day will be crowned with a cocktail party at Kabira Country Club in Kamwokya, later this evening.
Dr Sudhir was last month appointed by Bidhya Devi Bhandari, the Nepalese President, as the first honorary Consul of the Republic of Nepal.
Listed in Forbes Magazine as one of East Africa’s richest man, Sudhir, is the founder and Chairman of the Ruparelia Group, a 28-company conglomerate in Uganda. The firms range from real estates, schools, health facilities to leisure and hospitality engagements.
