KASESE, Uganda -SHIFTMEDIA- My recent three night trip to Western Uganda with Karuma Tours and Travel was an inspirational  journey indeed. It was memorable, and adorable to my role as a digital marketer and visual storyteller.

My focus after, I was hired by CEO Karuma Tours and Travel, Ian Sekaggya, was to capture the beauty of Uganda’s tourism attractions. Ian, an experienced traveler, founded Karuma Tours and Travel this year to promote Uganda’s natural beauty to well-heeled travelers.

I and other colleagues, with the company of Solomon,  another travel enthusiast, embarked on an adventure to explore Western Uganda’s hidden gems. Our first stop was Lodge Bella Vista in Fort Portal, a charming tourist destination located in Uganda’s “Tourist City”, Fort Portal.

The surroundings at Lodge Bella Vista, are breath-taking, and marvelous.

The following morning, we set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping at the newly refurbished equator monument. This iconic landmark marks the center of the Earth and offers a unique photo opportunity. Ian and Solomon shared their knowledge of the area’s history and culture, enriching our experience.

Next, we took a scenic drive to the Kazinga Channel, a waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. Our boat ride on the channel was a highlight of the trip, with sightings of various bird species, hippos, elephants, and crocodiles. The channel is renowned for its high concentration of hippos (around 2,000) and Nile crocodiles.

After the boat ride, we proceeded to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we spotted water-backs and other animals. Unfortunately, the lions were too lazy to appear due to the scorching sun, but the experience was still unforgettable.

As a digital marketer, I captured the beauty of Uganda’s tourism attractions through photographs and videos, which will be featured in Karuma Tours and Travel’s marketing campaigns.

Karuma Tours and Travel  expertise and passion for nature conservation and wildlife shone throughout the trip. Their focus on community experience, experiential travel, and capturing memories through photography made the journey even more special.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in Uganda, look no further than Karuma Tours and Travel. With their expertise and dedication, you’ll discover the country’s hidden gems and create lasting memories.
