TOUGH: Gaddafi Sweat Out With Tax Collectors In 1-1 Draw In Jinja

JINJA, Uganda SHIFTMEDIA It as a tough year beginning for Gaddafi Football Club after they were squeezed by the Tax Agents Uganda Revenue Authority to a one-all draw at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja city on Tuesday, 4th January 2022.

 

URA was the first to score courtesy of fast striker Steven Desse Mukwala, just 15 minutes in second half before the Jinja based Gadaffi’s midfielder Yunusu Sibira equalized at the dying minutes of the game.

 

Though URA had a slow start, having conceded a penalty that was missed by Sula Mpanga within the first opening five minutes, Gadaffi showed a speedy game.

The thriller match was handled by the FIFA female referee Shamirah Nabadda.

 

URA will miss the services of one of their defenders, Benjamin Nyakoojo who was injured in the match.

 

Sibira was named the pilsner man of the match, earning Shs 100,000 and a plaque.

This was Gaddafi’s 6th draw of the season in 14 games as they now have 18 points in the debut season in 8th position.

 

URA played to their 7th stalemate of the season and improved to 19 points in the 7th place.
