KAMPALA-SHIFTMEDIA- The storm seems far from over for Bwaise based Christian Life Church Pastor, Jackson Ssenyonga.

Three years ago (2018), the vocal pastor was dragged to court by a city businessman over a debt of Shs5.2b.  He had apparently taken Nathan Bisaso’s printing materials but failed to pay.

Whatever happened to that case is a story for another day.

This time round Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga is being threatened with legal suit by scores of pastors who accuse him of extorting money from them

The pastors claim Ssenyonga promised to build them churches under the  “Bye Bye Biwempe’ campaign that was spearheaded by Ssenyonga in 2005.

But 16 years down the road, the pastors who mainly hail from Luwero and Nakaseke are yet to get out of their Biwempe churches.

Led by a one Pastor Moses Akampulira, the men of God want justice muted on Ssenyonga who also owns a chain of radio stations and Top Television.

The Pastors want accountability for the money collected from them during the Nakivubo stadium conference.

Akampulira who issued a statement said over the years ‘rural’ pastors have been fleeced on the pretext that they need to upgrade to better churches.

They are also not happy with Ssenyonga whom they accuse of pocketing huge sums of money given by President Museveni when he met them to appreciate their contribution towards the January 2021 elections.

State House is yet to clarify on these allegations (donation of money to pastors) as our calls to Principle Private Secretary to the President Dr. Omona weren’t answered by press time.

Having heard of the intention to sue Pastor Ssenyonga didn’t receive the news with ease. He instead warned the pastors pushing for legal actions against him to go slow.

NBS TV ‘Uncut’ aired Pastor Ssenyonga dismissing the claims. He demanded that Akampulira apologises for defaming him.

“ It would be good for you to leave this thing, and I want you to leave it publically, your friends have left this thing and you should also do it,” NBS uncut quoted Ssenyonga saying.
