GULU, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA|The road to state for National Unity Platform flag bearer, Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine isn’t smooth as he campaigns for the top office. Kyagulanyi who is campaigning in northern Uganda had a rough time with police as they had running battles with his supporters in Gulu City.

Bobi Wine who launched his campaign in West Nile before heading to Acholi sub-region had his campaign rally in Kitgum blocked by police.

Kitgum Resident District Commissioner (RDC), William Komakech blocked Kyagulanyi from campaigning in the area. Komakech said he ordered police to block Kyagulanyi from campaigning in the district because of the indiscipline of his team and supporters.

From Kitgum Kyagulanyi headed to Gulu where police had running battles with his supporters. His planned rally in Awere Playgrounds in Layibi-Bardege division was delayed as police diverted his procession from the central business district through Airfield Road to Awere playground.

But this rally also didn’t last as police fired teargas forcing the crowd out of the playground.

Police commanded by Moses Ogwang, the Officer-in-charge of Operations at Gulu Central Police Station said that Kyagulanyi was behind the scheduled time.
Kyagulanyi head to Lango sub region today where he is expected to address his supporters.
