According to White House officials, the talks between Biden and King Abdullah centered on what lies ahead for future relations between Israel and Palestine.

The talks come at the heels of Bennett Naftali replacing Benjamin Netanyahu as Israel’s Prime Minister.

There is hope that the talks may calm the tensions that are still brewing after the 11-day war two months ago that saw Israel and Gaza pound each other with dozens of missiles.

White House officials quoted US President Joe Biden as promising full support to the Jordanian King, who travelled along with his wife, Queen Rania.

Talks between the two leaders also centered on the two-state solution to the Israel – Palestine conflict.
