Onyait, Wabomba, Wabwire and Nakaayi emerged best in Faith High School Ssonde Namugongo Mukono

MUKONO, Uganda [SHIFT MEDIA] Moral integrity is instrumental in shaping students towards excellence. This is the remarks made by David Manyike, Headteacher Faith High School Sonde, Namugongo in Mukono as he celebrated the best performance of his A level students.

A total of 63 students out of the 70 who sat the 2022 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examinations (UACE) passed and qualified to join university. Onyait Jonathan a student of PCM emerged best with 18 aggregates. Similarly another high flying student Wabomba Bosico, who was doing BCM also emerged best with 18 aggregates. These two are assured of full government scholarship to pursue science course of their choice at Campus.

Other students who excelled include: Nakaayi Mariam (HEL) who scored 16 aggregates, Wabwire Emma(GEA) 15 aggregates, Acham Jane Caroline (HEG) 15 aggregates, Namirembe Fatumah (HED) 14 points, and Aiijuka Anolyn (DGA) 13 Points.

Others who scored 13 points were Mukiibi Herbert, Sudam Wed Mut, Nantumbwe Brenda and Muyega Henry.

The headteacher noted that 30 students passed with three (3) principal passes, while 20 passed with two (2) principal passes, and 13 students passed with one (1) principal pass.

Manyike hailed the teachers, and the parents who made the students excel by paying their fees. “Our School, Faith High Sonde is focused on bringing God fearing children who are morally upright. Children who are God fearing and morally upright usually excel,” he said.

UACE Performance

A total of 97,889 candidates registered for the examination from 1, 969 Centres. Of the registered candidates, 42% were females while 58% were males. The UNEB executive Director, Dan Odongo is expected to give an account of the performance of the candidates in his statement of release.
