World Food Day 2024: Food Scientists Make Urgent Call for Nutritional Awareness and Reform in Uganda

KAMPALA, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| Queen Sheeba is in “Cloud 9” After she was nominated for this years MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA)
Sheebah Karungi, the ‘nkwatako’ singer becomes the first female artist from Uganda to be nominated for this prestigious award.
Sheeba was nominated in the category of ‘Best African Act” alongside last year’s winner Burna Boy from Nigeria, Rema from Nigeria, Gaz Mawete from Democratic Republic of Congo and Jerusalema hitmaker Master KG.
This Awards will take place on November 8th in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sheebah is no stranger to success. She has in the past won several awards both locally and internationally.
Upon receiving the news, the singer rushed to her social media platforms to share her happiness with her fans.
“I am so happy to announce that I have been nominated for the MTV EMA Awards 2020. This means the world to me,” Sheebah wrote.
She thanked MTV for the chance given to her to be nominated on such a big platform.
Among the African artistes expected to perform at this year’s show are; Yemi Alade, Alikiba, Casper Nyovest, Ycee, Babes Woduma among others.
In other categories, Lady Gaga leads the nominations with seven nods followed by BTS and Justin Bieber who have five nominations each.
