RIP: Speaker Rebecca Kadaga’s Daughter Nicole Passes On

KAMULI- SHIFTMEDIA- Grief has struck Speaker of Parliament and Kamuli Women legislator, Rt, Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

Kadaga has lost a daughter, Sheila Nicole Alitwala Kadaga. Nicole passed on yesterday Febraury 28th after a short illeness.

Details about her demise remain scanty for now.

The deceased was a sister to Uganda Christian University (UCU) immediate past Guild President and son to Speaker Rebecca Kadaga- Timothy Kadaga. The two siblings are foster children to Rebecca Kadaga.

In a message on his social media page, the crestfallen Timothy Kadaga said:

“No words, no words can explain how I feel. Nothing will ever fill this void. I now have the second hole in my heart,” 

“My hardwork has been driven by you. Whenever I reach home, you have always smiled,” Timothy mentioned.

 

“You have always loved us more than we could ever do to ourselves. Rest well Tiira. I will see you soon,” he added.

Kenneth Agaba Amponda, the current Guild President described the death as shocking news to the student community.

“I must say that we are saddened by such a huge loss. The UCU community is with you throughout this Mr Kadaga,” Amponda said.

He also asked students to support their former leader, Timothy Kadaga, through this trying time.

“You must be reminded that Kadaga needs us in this situation more than ever before. We must be there to comfort him,” he added.

According to Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, the burial will take place on Wednesday in Mbulamuti village, Kamuli district.
