KAMPALA-SHIFTMEDIA– After a spectacular performance at the just ended AFCON Under 20 finals in Mauritania, the man behind this great success now has his eyes set on coaching the Uganda Cranes.
Morley Byekwaso, the Uganda Hippos head coach who led the young team to the AFCON finals is determined to take the Cranes flying higher.
Though the Hippos lost to Ghana Satellite stars, 2-0 they played as the best favourites despite being new entrants. Ghana has won the challenge three times so far.

During the Hippos luncheon at Imperial Golf View Hotel in Entebbe, the KCCA FC assistant coach asked the football governing body for an opportunity to work with the players in the future.
“I wish to thank these players for the commitment, discipline and hard work, We learnt a lot of positive things from this tournament. I request FUFA to grant me the opportunity to work with these players in future,” said Byekwso.

The team which arrived from Mauritania on Tuesday morning were awarded a reward of $160,000 (Shs 586 million) by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
In simple mathematics, each player will walk away with about Shs16million.
Hon Moses Magogo the newly elected Budiope East Legislator hosted the team in Entebbe.
