SOROTI, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| All people in Teso Sub-region who lost animals during the insurgency will be compensated, National National Unity Platform Party-NUP presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has promised.
Thousands of animals were rustled by the Karimojong warriors and some looted during the war that engulfed the areas of Soroti, Kumi, Amuria, Katakwi, and surrounding suburbs in from the 1960s to 90s.
Campaigning in Soroti, Kyagulanyi said it is sad that the people on Teso have been duped for long by the incumbent and NRM Flag bearer Yoweri Museveni.
As he asked for votes from Teso, he challenged the incumbent, Yoweri Museveni to allow free and fair elections so that he can be floored thoroughly.
Just like it did happen in Kitgum, and Karamoja, police fired tear gas to disperse rowdy Kyagulanyi supporters in Soroti City.
