KAMPALA, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| COVID 19 indeed exists! Let us Wear Our Masks. Ivan Kakooza, the owner of the popular hangout joint in Najjera, Nexus Bar and Lounge has succumbed to Corona.
Kakooza was pronounced early on Thursday after days battling with the pandemic at the Mulago COVID 19 specialised ward for three weeks.
His manager Joan Kaitetsi confirmed the death to this newsite.
One of his close friends said the jolly Kakooza has been sick for some two weeks. “He has been sick and the last time we met he told me he had mere Malaria,” said Kakooza’s friend
Today (Independence Day), his bar (Nexus Lounge) would be celebrating its fourth anniversary.
Nexus has grown into a popular nightspot within and has been affected by Covid 19.
Last year during the third anniversary bash on October 9, 2019, Kakooza said that he chose to celebrate on Independence day because it had been three years of great success.
