Uganda’s Cancer Crisis: Activists Call for Prevention Over Costly Treatment

GULU, Uganda [shiftmedianews] Gulu University Freshers Ball sponsored by Smirnoff will forever remain memorable. Spectacular performances by local artist Mun-G raved up the tempo among the new students.
Scores of students at the northern Uganda based campus danced with ecstacy to the hits of Mun-G at the Smirnoff freshers ball.
The Sala-Puleesa singer put on an energetic and wholesome performance, performing some of his popular hits like Big Bumpa, virgin, and more.
Among other performances was a DJ takeover from Etania and DJ Magic, whose mixes saw the students win Smirnoff merchandise at random and dance the night away.
The shows paved way by 6 pm in the evening, with dozens of students getting a chance to wine away with the new Smirnoff brands that included Smirnoff Pineapple Punch and Guarana. The nights favorite was the Smirnoff ice, tha left many ‘wounded’, and unable to walk.
Judie Nandekya- Smirnoff Brand Manager, Uganda Breweries Limited said they decided to roll out country-wide Smirnoff Freshers balls to bring the Smirnoff bold and vibrant experience closer to their consumers within different universities.
She said the event winds up on November 25 2023 with a massive concert planned for Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
