Janet Museveni Visits ‘Burnt’ Makerere University Calls For Change In Morals

KAMPALA, Uganda|SHIFTMEDIA| First Lady and Education Minister Hon Janet Kataha Museveni on Sunday morning paid a courtesy visit to the 98-year-old Makerere University that was burnt to ashes following a fire that broke out on Saturday night.

As she interacted with crest fallen Makerere University authorities and staff, Janet Museveni said in a tweet: “For us who believe in God, we know that everything works out for our good. This is a chance for  Makerere to be rebuilt, not just buildings but the culture, the morals of the people, and everything that pertains to our prestigious university.

The police fire fighting team hard a hectic time trying to put out the fire that destroyed the entire Finance and Human Resource Departments.
The fire was eventually put out after 9 am on Sunday Morning.
