KAMPALA-SHIFTMEDIA- FUUganda Women Football Association (UWFA) has donated trophies and balls to FUFA regions across the country.
The distribution of these trophies and balls is timely for regions to start preparations for the new season. Some of the regions here did not even have a ball to train with for the new season. We thank FUFA for this great gesture towards football development. This support will really make a difference’ remarked Kubingi.
This happened during the International Women’s Day at FUFA Special Interest Group offices in Lungujja as special support to women football development for Regional Football Associations (RFA).
Each club received two balls and the distribution was done through their Uganda Women Football delegates to the Region Football Associations.
John Chrizestom Kalibala, the FUFA Executive member who represented the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo noted that the federation has decided to empower grass-root women football through Regional Football Associations both financially and logistically.
This is because football can only be developed from the grassroots. He asked the delegate to start identifying how the regional league will kick off during this pandemic era.
Chairman of Uganda Women Football Association Margret Kubingi applauded FUFA for the gesture as the exercise empowers them to improve football development in line with FUFA’s Vision to be the number one football Nation in Africa on and off the field. (Source FUFA)
