KAMPALA-SHIFTMEDIA- The cost that ousted Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has to pay for defying the NRM Central Executive Committee will be so huge.

We can report that the thunderous downfall of powerful Kamuli Woman Member of Parliament Kadaga will be painfully, and deeply hurting.

After losing (197) to her former Deputy Jacob Oulanya the Omoro County MP and NRM CEC Northern Member (310), in a hotly contested show of power displayed at the Kololo Independence Grounds on Monday, May 24, 2021, Kadaga’s woes are just beginning.

Her arc rival and ousted Kiboga Woman MP and former NRM Chief Whip, Ruth Nankabirwa has promised to bring the “disrespectful” Busoga powerful lady down on her knees.

“What she (Kadaga) did was not called for. It was a show of disrespect to the party that she represents both in Parliament and in CEC as Deputy Vice-Chairperson representing Women,” Nankabirwa told CBS FM.

“She didn’t deserve to disrespect the decision of CEC that she represents. She has shown a spirit of division in the NRM family. She has to apologize to NRM, CEC, and entire Ugandans if not I will raise this issue to the NRM Chairperson to have her reprimanded,” warned Nankabirwa.

She said as a disciplinarian, Kadaga won’t get off the hook unless she pleads for forgiveness and apologises.

Nankabirwa and Kadaga have not been seeing eye to eye with either party accusing the other of supporting her rival.

Kadaga has come in the open to accuse Nankabirwa of supporting Lands State Minister and Bukono MP Hon. Persis Namuganza during the campaigns for NRM Deputy Vice Chairperson (Women). Kadaga went ahead and won Namuganza.

Though Nankabirwa was defeated as Kiboga District Woman MP, a post she has held for 26 years, Kadaga has not come out to say she was behind her loss, though Nankabirwa believes her loss was due to the fact that Kadaga heavily funded her opponent Christine Kaaya Nakimwero (NUP).

According to Emmanuel Dombo the NRM spokesperson, a member of NRM who campaigns against the official party candidate can be subjected to disciplinary action.

More issues arise

A day after Kamuli Woman MP was ousted, social media has been awash with yet to be confirmed news regarding how the IGG and the Anti Corruption Court are set to slap possible corruption charges against Rebecca Kadaga.

allegations include receiving USD$ 400,000 from city lawyer Masembe or MMAKS to stop parliament from investigating a property row between property mogul Karim Hirij and his siblings.

She is also likely to prove allegations that she was handed USD$1 million from Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia to support the favorable report from COSASE investigations into the Bank of Uganda closure of Crane Bank, which belonged to property tycoon Sudhir.

Insiders also say Kadaga has a hand in the awarding of the Parliament extension works to Roko Construction, and that she was paid USD$2b to back this bid. These and more allegations are coming.

Rebecca Kadaga indicated to us that she would address the press later to answer all issues and also disclose her next cause of action.
